“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life…”
Matthew 6:25 NIV
God knows what we need before we even ask.
Though much of what makes up the structure of our everyday lives is becoming increasingly limited— those of us whose hope is the Lord shall lack no good thing.
Therefore, do not worry about your life. Our God is a much more God, and if He clothes the grass of the field, how much more will He clothe you? If He feeds the birds in the air how much more will He feed you?
Our view of God is important. If we believe Him to be a God of abundance, then we can trust that if we give our entire attention to what He is doing right now, and not get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow, He will help us deal with whatever comes our way.
Notice Jesus doesn’t say “try not to worry,” He said, “don’t worry.” If we find ourselves debating what Jesus has said, we have to decide— are we faithful to Jesus or to our ideas about Him?
If we seek our relationship with God first, maintaining it as the primary concern in our life, we do not need to worry about anything. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. (Matt 6:33)
God knows what we need before we even ask. He knows our everyday essentials and the deepest cries of our hearts. If there’s anyone we can truly depend on, it is He who entered into our story himself and experienced the weight of human life.
So don’t worry friends! For who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? (Matt 6:27) We were not created for worry, we were created for worship— designed to flourish and function as image bearers of our Creator, embodying faithfulness to the world and His divine plan.
Allow worship and praise to release your burdens into the hands of the Father and awaken the reality of His perfect peace.
