glorify
“Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”
Psalm 107:8-9 ESV
The Psalms are full of beautiful letters of love and praise to the Lord. The Psalmist in 107 writes: “Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love.” When we invite Him into our lives, he is there, through and through, for every moment and every breath, pouring out his steadfast love. And we can be sure of this in this season.
No matter how we are spending our time leading up to the holidays, there is peace to be found in knowing that He will be right there with us. For in our affliction, He provides. In our discomfort, He provides. In our heartache, He provides. Through the highs and the lows of it all, our Father will satisfy our longing souls and make sure we are taken care of.
To that we say: glorify. One of the wonderful ways we can show love to our Father is by recognizing His presence in our lives and giving Him praise for His wondrous works. In your sanctuary, in your bedroom, in the park — may you be encouraged to shout of the Lord’s goodness this holiday season.
For the presence of the Lord is near; He is worthy of all of our praise.
With love,

centering prayer:
Abba, we thank you for your mighty works. You provide for your children and bring them to safety, you fill our cups and give us a place to call home. May we praise you forevermore. Amen.
