enjoy

“The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10 NIV

Abundance is found in Christ centered purpose.

The abundant life Jesus promised has nothing to do with worldly pursuits and everything to do with the attributes that make us more like Him and hold eternal value. He longs for us to place our trust in Him alone and experience a life overflowing with peace and confidence that only He can give.

When we remain devoted to the truths and ways of Jesus, true joy is released in us allowing us to thrive in even the most difficult seasons.

Perhaps you’re drowning in the monotony of it all, feeling stressed or impatient, tempted to indulge or numb out. Maybe you’re trapped in the ‘when’ mindset—I’ll be happy when it’s over. I’ll be happy when I get into a relationship. I’ll be happy when I get a new job.

Enjoy what God is doing now. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you see all that God has for you. How might He want to use you to bless someone else today?

As we pursue joy in the Lord, He will help us find beauty in the seemingly ordinary. When your mind begins to go down an unpleasant path, stop and remember to rejoice always! You were not created to go through the motions, mustering up a positive attitude every chance you get.

You are a child of God. (1 John 3:1)
You have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor 2:16)
You have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. (Phil 4:7)

There is good to be found in this day. No matter what we’re facing, God is always with us and guarantees we can find refuge in the shadow of His wings. (Ps 36: 7-8)

Practice:

enjoy being with God and let Him enjoy you.
