“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV

The grace of God is now. It’s sufficient, available and ready to meet our every need.

Grace is the expression of God’s love and favor towards his people because he cares! He does not take it away when we fail or make mistakes. Nothing has to change before it’s enough. It is freely given to us in Jesus every moment of every day.

Therefore, let us rest from trying to earn our way to the Father. As the psalmist writes, “What can I render to the Lord for all he is done? I’ll lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord” (Ps 116:12-13). In other words, there is nothing we can do to repay the Lord for what he has given us in Jesus. All we can do is receive. We lift up hearts of gratitude and ask the Lord to fill us with the capacity to bring Him glory with our lives.

Friend, you are not a failure or a disappointment— you’re dependent. A finite creature made to worship and desire an infinite God. Accept it. Receive it. Believe it.

His grace is the strength and power given to fulfill the places where we lack in ourselves. What do you need today? Forgiveness? Peace? Strength? Turn to Jesus. His hand is open to all ready to satisfy the desire of every living thing (Ps 145:16). You don’t have to keep yourself together. God loves you and knows what you need.

You are not beyond the grace of God. His grace was enough for Paul and it’s enough for you. It is sufficient to uphold you, sustain you, comfort you, empower you, and strengthen you all the days of your life.

Praise the Lord for His inexhaustible, infinite grace!

in Christ,
Makenzi
