This Strange King

We all long for someone who actually knows the way home. Someone who doesn’t just guess but leads with confidence, provides for our needs, protects us from harm, and—even when we wander—pursues us and brings us home. Psalm 23, one of the most beloved Psalms and reveals something essential about our hearts: our longing for a true and better King. A King who will bear responsibility for us, who will not fail us, who is consistently loving and faithful.
