live

“Yet He is actually not far from each one of us, for ‘In Him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “For we are indeed His offspring.”

Acts 17:27-28 ESV

Beloved, your Father is near.

In Acts 17, Paul emphasizes the nearness of the Lord. For He gives us life, but also establishes the means for us to exist.

One scholar references this verse, and writes that Paul is explaining how the Lord gives us the ability to exist for the purpose of inviting us to seek Him; and because He is our source, He must be near.

There are many things to remember when thinking of what it means to be a living vessel — we are one with God, we were born with a purpose to advance the Kingdom of the Most High, and no matter where we are or what we are doing, Abba is right there, guiding us with His steady hand.

We must remember — our Father is so close we can lean in and physically feel the peace of His presence all around us. He is simply waiting for a call upon His name — an invitation. And when we open up our hearts to Him, our spirit is given rest.

He pours into us as we live and move and have our being, never letting our cup run empty or our well run dry. There will never be a time where our Father will leave us without.

Press into that truth, today.

With kindness + love,
